GIVING YOU A LITTLE HAND ON PD DAYS
StoryBook is bringing our PD Day programming back, with a twist. This year our PD Programming will embark on a PLAY IN A DAY style program that will allow students to create their own play all within a safe theatre space. Students, along with their instructor, will write, produce, cast and rehearse a show all their own culminating in a final presentation at the end of the day.
The show will use contributions made by each and every student giving them ownership over the final product.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Students will meet for regular rehearsals. Masks must be worn for the duration of the rehearsal process. StoryBook is still working with Alberta Health Services to determine the potential for the final class to be presented without masks in a film or theatre cohort format.
Prior to the first date of classes, a comprehensive document on how StoryBook will keep students safe will be provided. You can learn more about our current standard rehearsal processes HERE. The theatre school process will be much of the same with modifications for our theatre school students.
FINAL PRESENTATION
The end of the day will include a presentation which will be filmed and sent out following the class for families to enjoy.
